Draft, last updated 2 September 2026. This is a template pending final legal review. It is not binding until published as final.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of RJNI (the "Software"), a Java bytecode to native protection tool, and the rjni.dev website (together, the "Service"), operated by the sole trader behind RJNI, based in England ("we", "us", "RJNI"). By purchasing a license, downloading the Software, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
Subject to payment of the applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software to protect software you own or are authorized to modify, for the number of projects and device activations included in your plan. This license does not transfer ownership of the Software to you.
You may use the Software only on code you own or have the legal right to modify and distribute. You may not:
You retain all rights in the code you submit to the Software and in the protected output it produces. We claim no ownership over your source code, your protected binaries, or any intellectual property embedded in them.
The Software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Software's protection features will resist every possible attacker, that the Software will be error free, or that nativization will not affect the runtime behavior or performance of your code. You are responsible for testing protected output before deploying it. See the docs for an honest statement of what the Software's protection is, and is not, designed to resist.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Software or Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Your license runs for the term stated at purchase (currently annual) and does not automatically grant rights to use the Software after that term ends unless renewed. We may suspend or terminate a license for material breach of these Terms, including violation of the acceptable use section above.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated last updated date on this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your own country of residence if you are a consumer based elsewhere.
